I was looking for Edwards Consulting Firm, Inc. Am I in the right place?
Yes. Edwards Consulting Firm, Inc. was renamed Conscious Recruiting, Inc. in 2009.
I'm a prospective candidate looking for employment opportunities. How do I work with your firm?
You must register with us by sending us a copy of your resume. All information is kept confidential and will not be sent to a hiring authority unless you have given us permission to do so. There is no fee for sending us your resume and no fee for our firm to place you in a position with one of our client companies. You may register here.
Due to the volume of resumes received, we only call and set appointments with candidates who potentially match our open retained search assignments. Some of our search assignments are listed online and others are confidential. You have the opportunity to proactively apply to open assignments through our firm or through other recruiters at CR Placement. The positions on this website are not all senior-level openings; it includes technical, professional and other mid-level job openings.

What kind of search does Conscious Recruiting, Inc. do?
Conscious Recruiting, Inc. places mid-to-senior-level talent in a variety of progressive companies and nonprofit organizations.
Do you have a specialty?
Yes, we specialize in working with government agencies and prime contractors.
We do have experience working with various major corporations, nonprofit organizations and founder-led/entrepreneur-led/owner-operated businesses.
What are the benefits of engaging your boutique firm versus a larger firm?
We are certainly not everything to everyone. However, there are many benefits to engaging us. Our size allows us to avoid "off-limit" recruiting issues for our clients. Our clients appreciate the fact that their critical assignments are not handed off to junior associates as they might be in many larger firms. They appreciate our attention to detail, responsiveness, flexibility and innovation.
What is CR Placement? Why was it created?
CR Placement is our "exclusivity-based" professional staffing division. We created this division by request. We have a number of client companies requesting that we work across their organizations to fill various clinical, technical, managerial and professional-level openings.
We partnered with Top Echelon Network, Inc. and Top Echelon Contracting, Inc. to provide these extended services.
Now, Conscious Recruiting, Inc. and CR Placement together offer a broad spectrum of timely traditional and nontraditional search services including retained search, research, coaching/consulting services, website services, professional-level search, contract staffing/interim management, temp-to-perm hiring, payrolling/employer of recordTM, retiree re-staffing and outplacement assistance.
You may visit CR Placement online at CRPlacement.com.

What are your fees and payment terms?
Fees and payment terms vary based on the nature of the assignment. During the initial discovery phase, Conscious Recruiting, Inc. will discuss recruiting or training program choices and fee structures with the client.
The selected service and related fee structure is outlined in detail in the client's contract.
How is your firm different from other recruiting organizations?
Our main differentiator is that our firm's founder, Damali Curry Edwards, actually worked as a recruiter and talent acquisition leader prior to starting the company. She gained a unique 360-degree span of knowledge on the search process and industry. During her career she has been a client, recruiter and placed candidate of retained search services.
We also have the ability to reach out to seasoned professionals and up-and-comers, which is critical for hiring the next-generation.
We are a prime contractor, corporation or government entity committed to sourcing part of our procurement needs from bona fide minority-owned, woman-owned and woman-controlled organizations. Is your company certified as a minority-owned, woman-owned or woman-controlled business enterprise?
Yes, Conscious Recruiting, Inc. is a certified minority-owned, woman-owned and woman-controlled business enterprise (MBE and WBE). We are nationally certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC) and Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
We are also registered with various local, state and federal government entities as a DBE and a small business enterprise.
We can provide proof of certification upon request.

We send the majority of our documents via email, to reduce printing waste. When we send mailings, we choose recycled products whenever available.
